Our French National Honor Society monthly goes to HALO to serve dinner and give back to their community. Now they are going to do even more to assist HALO. They are having a Donation Drive where students and staff can bring in donations to help our community who needs our help. Please drop off the donations this week so we can drop them off to HALO this coming Friday. Thanks in advance RAMFAM!

The Parkside and James M Bennett girls lacrosse teams recently came together for something bigger than the game, uniting in support of the OneLove Foundation to raise awareness about the importance of healthy relationships. Through this opportunity, our athletes helped shine a light on recognizing the signs of both healthy and unhealthy behaviors while promoting education that can truly make a difference. Proud to see our teams playing with purpose, on and off the field.

Not every adventurer goes around the moon. These intrepid educators are getting ready to go Over the Edge for ALICE On May 8th. That's the day that Beaver Run Elementary Principal Dave Harris, Wicomico High Principal Dr. Nikki Blake, Chief Finance and Operations Officer Dr. Brian Raygor and Wicomico Middle Assistant Principal Kimandi Binns will rappel from the roof of The Ross down to the streets of Downtown Salisbury. We thank them for their willingness to serve students and families in this unique and somewhat daunting effort.

Today the staff of Wicomico County Public Schools is dressing casual to support the fund-raising of these four adventurers. The money raised by Over the Edge for ALICE, through the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, goes to help families in our community who are ALICE: Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed. Many ALICE families include children in our classroom, and Wicomico Schools is stepping up (and going Over the Edge) to support them. Ours is the first school system in the area to take on this challenge.

Staff members can join this ALICE effort with their casual day donation today and in other ways that we will share soon. And anyone can make a donation to be divided among the four Ross descenders: https://givebutter.com/OTE2026/wicomico-county-public-schools.

(Individual donation links will be shared in the near future. Anyone donating $25 or more to one of our team members through the donation site will have their name added to the adventure suit so they can be part of the descent on May 8th!)

Great job by our Parkside CTE Criminal Justice 2 students and thank you Mr. Kaiser for setting this up! Lights, phones, action 🚨📞 Our Criminal Justice-2 students stepped into the role of real 911 dispatchers today, while they handled high-pressure scenarios, making split-second decisions, and learning what it truly takes to be the calm voice in a crisis. From gathering critical information to prioritizing emergency responses, these future professionals got a hands-on look at the intensity and responsibility behind every call. The pressure is real and they rose to the challenge. 💪 #FutureFirstResponders #CriminalJustice #911Simulation #HandsOnLearning
