This morning, we recognized a large group of students with a RAMdom Pride Award that was written by one of their teachers for displaying true RAMFAM characteristics. They each received a certificate and a coupon for a free snack in the cafeteria. In addition, a drawing will be held at the end of the month for a gift card for anyone who received a RAMdom Pride award during the month of December. We love to recognize the RAMFAM who always go above and beyond to make this the great school that it is. See the 2nd slide for examples of the RAMdom Pride awards to see why they received the award. Today marks the beginning of The 12 Days of Parkside CTE! The Juilliard School-trained operatic principal majestically sang the first line of the song for the RAMFAM on the morning announcements. The RAMFAM is excited about hearing the song as it gets longer each and every day! We might even have some guest singers over the next 11 days! 💚🤍🐏🎄🐏🤍💚

Duel enrollment students... submit your Spring college course schedule to your counselor as soon as possible!

Way to go, Von! We're so proud of you!
Celebrating the talent of our 2024 holiday card artist, Navon "Von" Vanriper! In May, when Von was still a student at Bennett Middle, his painting of a snowy winter scene stood out at the annual student art show as not only a great piece of art, but also as an excellent holiday card design.
Now, months later, Von is a freshman at Parkside High and cards printed with his design are ready to mail from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Micah Stauffer and Wicomico County Public Schools. All staff members will receive a card with Von's design through email. Dr. Stauffer gave Von a preview of his cards this week in the A+ Garden Centre greenhouse at Parkside CTE, surrounded by beautiful poinsettias.
Dr. Stauffer and the Board of Education look forward to honoring Von Wanriper at the Board meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Congratulations to Von and all who support his love of art, especially BMS art teacher Dawn Littleton and Parkside High art teacher Amy Gilland.
Our thanks to CTE Horticulture for providing the perfect setting for holiday card photos. Following the photos of the artist, check out the pictures of poinsettias in red, pink, varied and even dark orange that are available now in the greenhouse (but going fast).

No Step-Up tomorrow!

Rammy stopped by Early Childhood today to recognize a teacher, but obviously wasn't going to waste the opportunity to visit the Prince Street RAM Lambs as well. As you can tell, they were glad that Rammy stopped by!

Scholarship opportunity!

Today, 34 of our Parkside CTE teachers found out from Rammy that they were nominated for our Parkside CTE Teacher of the Year Award! We have so many amazing teachers here at Parkside CTE and we have plenty who weren't nominated who are certainly worthy. We are proud of each of these teachers and can't wait to see who will be our Parkside CTE Teacher of the Year. Some of these that are pictured will not move forward in the competition due to not having enough years experience (or experience in WCPS) but will be able to in future years. Shout-out to Kristi Grande and Paiton Zanette who were also nominated but not here today to find out. Congratulations again to all of our Parkside CTE Teacher of the Year nominees! 💚🤍🐏🤍💚

It's almost time for the Parkside CTE SGA Holiday Wreath Auction! More info to follow! 💚🤍🐏🎄🐏🤍💚

Thank you to the Wicomico County Council for recognizing Logan Newton for her 2nd straight Bayside Cross Country Championship. Logan is the only 2 time Bayside Cross Country champion from Parkside and she still has her senior year ahead of her. Thank you to Coach Wolske and Coach Sensbach for being there to support Logan for this recognition and being great coaches. We are so proud of you Logan! 💚🤍🐏👟🐏🤍💚

Thank you Wicomico County Council for recognizing Parkside Rams Soccer for being a 2A State Finalist this past season. Our team was and is a family and tonight was no different as tons of our players came out for this recognition, as well as Coach Kollin and Coach Cade. Parkside is incredibly proud of this team as they will certainly go down as one of the best Parkside Boys Soccer teams of all time! 💚🤍🐏⚽️🐏🤍💚

Wicomico Teacher of the Year nominations closed last night, and we received 973 nominations this year! Thank you to everyone who took time to nominate an amazing teacher for this recognition. Our schools and our school system look forward to celebrating many of the teachers of Wicomico County Public Schools throughout the Wicomico Teacher of the Year Recognition Program..

It's almost parade time! Can't wait to see and hear our Parkside Marching RAMS in the Salisbury Jaycees Christmas Parade this Sunday, December 8th at 1 PM. It might be cold out there but they are definitely warming things up and getting the school in the holiday spirit! 💚🤍🐏🎄🐏🤍💚
