Yesterday, Parkside Class of 2025, Julia Gore, presented a workshop at the Maryland Association of Student Councils in Ocean City. Abhi Gaddam, in his role as student member to the Maryland State Board of Education, was also in attendance down at MASC. We love seeing our RAMFAM giving back and being a part of something bigger than themselves!

The A+ Garden Centre at Parkside High CTE Horticulture is getting ready for spring, and is excited about welcoming customers to purchase plants and flowers soon. Last week, Horticulture students from all three levels of the program gathered at the greenhouses and indoor program area to plant 12,000 Proven Winner plants in pots in just 42 minutes. Congratulations to these students on their great work, and thanks to the community partners who came in to support this mass planting event. Wicomico students deserve the best possible education, but limited local funding creates real challenges. Please read what increased local funding could do, and then come out this evening to the Wicomico County Executive's Budget Hearing to speak on the importance of education funding for our county and community.
