Parkside CTE Firefighter/EMT students had a practical training day at Station 16. These students will be certified in Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2, and EMT by the end of the year.

State Superintendent Dr. Carey Wright, along with Student Member of the State Board Abhiram Gaddam, had a wonderful time visiting Salisbury Middle School and West Salisbury Elementary in Wicomico County Public Schools yesterday. They engaged with students and staff, learning more about the NexGen STEM Program and the great work happening in Wicomico schools.
Parkside is extremely proud of Abhiram Gaddam, not only Student Member of the State Board, but also a senior in the Parkside High School Class of 2025! He is a great representative for the State of Maryland, Wicomico County Public Schools, and Parkside!

Do you want to show everyone your love for Parkside (or Parkside Soccer)? We have car magnets for sale. The PHS one is $5, and the Parkside Soccer one is $7 (or $10 and you can get a sticker as well). They are both available in the front office. We love seeing our PHS magnets all over Wicomico County. Yes, Mr. Briggs needs to get his car washed as well.
Parkside is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th-October 15th). Today, we talked about the contributions of Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Astronaut Ellen Ocha, and baseball legend Roberto Clemente on the morning announcements. In Mrs. Pitoniak's Art class they learned about El Salvadorian artist Fernando Llort, and are currently creating their own art like Fernando did. We here at Parkside love to celebrate the diversity of the RAMFAM and will contine to do so.

We're excited to announce that our G.O.A.T t-shirts are back for round two and available for pre-order! These shirts are a great way to show your school spirit, and they will be available in a variety of sizes. Please note that there are black GOAT shirts and grey Alumni GOAT shirts.
If you're interested in purchasing a t-shirt, please fill out the pre-order form by next Monday, September 23rd. The cost per shirt is $10 and they will be shipped directly to the school. You can pay the $10 through cash (please give to Brittany Jackson or Brittany Wolske), through Venmo (handle on the form) or with a check.
