RAMFAM, we need you here in school and on time for you to be successful and at your very best! Just a few reminders with regards to attendance and tardies: * Students who meet or exceed 5 days of unlawful absence within the marking term must participate in an attendance intervention program or receive failing grades, for all courses, for the entire marking term. * The parent/guardian must submit the written explanation within five school days of the student’s unexcused tardy/tardies or late arrivals. Tardies that may not require a medical note or other approved documentation may be considered in the form of written parent notification, not to exceed 5 days per school year. * The parent/guardian must submit the written explanation within five school days of the student’s return to school from an absence. This written explanation does not constitute the basis for a lawful absence but can be used to assist in the determination process. Absences that may not require a medical note or other approved documentation may be considered in the form of written parent notification, not to exceed 5 days per school year. Parents/guardians will be informed if the absence is determined to be unexcused/unlawful. Written explanations submitted beyond 5 school days from the student’s return to school will be placed in the student’s attendance file, however the absence will be coded as unlawful. Thank you RAMFAM! We look forward to seeing you all at school and on time tomorrow!

It's Back to School season for these teacher candidates who are lucky enough to take their first foundations of education classes on-site at local schools. Huge thanks to our partners in Wicomico County at North Salisbury, Mardela and Parkside, who also welcomed three work study students as part of SU's commitment to a White House Partnerships challenge! Thank you, SU, for a great working relationship with WCPS!
